Suppliers of Regulated Articles (RAs) are required to register as a Registered Supplier with the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) before distributing RAs¹. The EPD can specify an electronic record as a specified form, and assign or approve a password to satisfy the requirement for a signature in the form².

1. The applicant undertakes to provide true and accurate information as required in the registration for RAIMS account and submission of applications on RAIMS.

2. After submitting the application to register a RAIMS account, the EPD will issue an Initial Password Email to the applicant. For authentication purpose, the applicant is required to change the initial password within 24 hours of its issuance to activate the RAIMS account created. Otherwise, the account will temporarily be frozen by the EPD. The applicant will then have to contact system administrator for assistance.

3. Once an applicant activates his/her account for using RAIMS Services, he/she will be taken as having accepted the policy.

4. Users can use and change the password which shall consist of 8-20 characters with combination of lowercase letter(s), uppercase letter(s), number(s) and symbol(s). No easily guessable password such as ID card number and date of birth should be used. The password shall be changed every 6 months as required by the system and securely kept without disclosure to any other person(s) under any circumstances.

5. The Forgot Password button will assist you in resetting password. The Forgot Password will help you retrieve the username with the email address used for account registration or the Registration Number. If further assistance is needed, please contact system administrator.

6. Any access to the RAIMS with username and password shall be deemed the use of the RAIMS by the user, unless the user can adduce evidence to prove the contrary. User should carefully check the information submitted via RAIMS. If there is any error or omission, please contact EPD hotline at 2838 3111 as soon as possible.

7. If the user notices or suspects password leak or unauthorized use of the RAIMS Services, he/she shall change his/her password immediately and notify system administrator as soon as practicable.

8. Users can save and view their records submitted on RAIMS. However, records submitted in paper form can only be viewed.

9. User accounts will be inactivated 12 months after all the registrations are expired or cancelled.
